Lingusamy’s paperwork is decent. It is the execution which ticks off the
fun. Well written scenes clubbed with interesting twists could have
rocketed Anjaan to another level. Unfortunately, his packaging which
sticks to the age old formula of fights, songs and punch lines is a
bummer. Captivating tidbits like the coin spin and a transformation do
not rise up to what it has to be. In the second half, there is a fight
every ten minutes, each time with a different character. Good dialogues
are used time and again, taking away the impact.
Lingusamy “Anjaan” is a complete routine entertainer fulfilled with
Action, Emotions, Love etc.. Based on this plot, already many tamil
movies are shown these kind of revenge drama. Suriya stolen the complete
show. In few scenes he is still looking like young energetic handsome
guy. Samantha’s performance and dance is the major plus to the film.
Yuvan Shankar Raja did a great job in Rerecording part.
Lingusamy has a lot in store to take back as his homework, for the movie fails to impress you as a whole. To sum up, Anjaan would be in the list of movies that could have been etched better. Barring a few twists and turns, does entertain Suriya fans to an extent and leaves out the rest.
On the lines of Baasha Bhai and Vishwa Bhai, here comes a powerful Raju
Bhai who enjoys killing and also finds time for some love. A simple
story revolving around a revenge spree is what Anjaan is all about.
