Suriya’s recently released film, Anjaan, opened to mixed responses, the
makers of the film thinking that perhaps the length of the film had
something to do with it. Dhananjayan Govind, producer of the film, said,
“The audience felt that the second half of the film was long, and so,
we decided to trim six minutes of it to make it more racy. And
Lingusamy, director of the film, felt that a scene did not gel with the
story and asked for it to be removed. Comedian Brahmanandham’s scenes
have been removed from the Tamil version of the film, but have been
retained in the Telugu version.”
