Shankar Mahadevan and son Siddharth sing together in 2 States
The
music of Karan Johar’s 2 States has been composed by Shankar, Ehsaan
and Loy. The climax wedding song Hulla Re has been sung by the
father-son duo of Shankar and
Siddharth Mahadevan. Confirming to us, the director, Abhishek Varman,
said, “Siddharth always wanted to sing in the film, but could not get
the right song to sing till Hulla Re came along. We needed two different
textured voices and the father and son’s voices suited that. While
Shankar himself is a classically-trained singer, who can sing high
notes, he felt that Siddharth was able to sing the high notes with even
greater ease than he himself is able to, and was very excited to see his
son sing along with him.” We are sure Shankar’s wife and Siddharth’s
mother Sangeeta will make a lot of hulla when she hears this song.
