After
Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim’s engagement announcement, now we hear
that the duo will come together for yet another film titled Money
Ratnam. If the makers are to be believed, the movie has nothing to do
with the Kollywood hit maker Maniratnam. Billed as a fun thriller, the
movie helmed by debutante Santhosh Nair traces the events that happen
within a specific time frame of 24 hours.
It
will be scripted by Anil Narayanan and Ajith C Lokesh and will have
elements of comedy, thriller and travelogue. “Money Ratnam is not a road
movie, but travel pays a key role in it. Fahadh will play Neil John
Samuel, an executive who works at a car showroom, and Nazriya will play
Pia, his fiancée. Apart from the lead, we have not finalised the other
cast,” says Anil. As the title implies, the story revolves around money
and ratnam (diamond) that influence the life of the protagonist.
“Sometimes in life,
such situations arise when we have so much money in our hands but no
way to spend it. The character Neil is also going through a similar
situation. I am afraid I can’t reveal all the details now as the plot
has many surprises in store for the audience,” he says.
The movie is expected to take off in June and the makers are currently on a location hunt. Meanwhile, the star duo is currently busy with the shoot of Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days, which will see them as husband and wife.
