In
2009, Vishnu and director Suseenthiran collaborated on Vennila Kabaddi
Kuzhu, a movie that revolved around kabaddi, a sport popular in Tamil
Nadu. And, perhaps because sportsbased themes seem to be lucky for them,
the duo is basing their next film on cricket. When we contacted
Suseenthiran, whose last film was Pandiya Naadu, all he was willing to
say was, “Yes, it will be a cricket-based film.”
Interestingly, Vishnu is a cricketer himself, having played the sport
professionally, and is a regular high-scorer in the celebrity cricket
matches. The first schedule of the film, which stars Sri Divya as the
female lead, kick-started in the city yesterday. It was earlier reported
that this project would be titled Veera Dheera Sooran. But, the latest
we hear is that this title is likely to be changed to suit the needs of
the storyline.
