Director Krishna, who had earlier
directed the critically acclaimed film, Nedunchalai, will reunite with
its star, Aari, and its technicians to make the curiously titled, Maane
Thene Peya (Deer, honey, ghost). “I wanted a title that suits the
script,” says Krishna.
“Unlike
Nedunchalai, this one will have an urban setting. While Nedunchalai took
about two years to complete, Maane Thene Peya will be a quickie which I
intend to wrap up soon. Apart from Aari, whom I’ve grown to work
comfortably with, I will also be repeating my music director Sathya and
cameraman M.S Prabhu for this one as well.”
The
director had also directed the Suriya-starrer, Sillunu Oru Kadhal,
which had received a mixed response from the audience. Sources say that
the team is now on a hunt for the female lead, and the makers are
planning to rope in established actors for it as it’s a
performance-oriented role. The film is produced by Ragavesh, who is
producing GV Prakash’s Pencil. Aari will also begin his shoot for his
next horror film, which stars Nayanthara in the female lead.
