The
trailer launch of Kick at Gaiety Cinema was touted to be one of the
biggest events of the season and it was. Hours before the unveiling,
fans had begun to gather at the venue to have a glimpse of Salman. To
ensure smooth sailing, Shera, Salman’s bodyguard, had manned around 75
security guards in the entire building. This is the biggest security
cover till date and a record by a Khan.
At
the venue, there were around six security guards outside the parking
lot where Salman’s car was to enter from. At the entrance, they were
four of them manning the main door. Even at the staircase, leading to
the first floor, there were many guards. The exit points at the
screening venue were all manned by at least four guards each. And the
door through which Salman made an entry, had around 10 guards. There
were others at level 2 as well where select fans were given passes to
witness the big launch.
An
industry source who knows the star revealed, “His popularity is growing
every year and he makes sure that his appearance at any venue doesn’t
lead to any chaos.” The launch, which went on for an hour, had no ugly
incidents reported.
