It has been known for a while that Karan Johar will be adapting Amish
Tripathi’s bestseller, Immortals of Meluha into a film. The first book
in the Shiva trilogy tells the story of a Tibetan immigrant named Shiva
who is invited to the kingdom of Meluha.
Karan has been looking
for a fresh face to fit the character of Lord Shiva. We now hear that
Tiger, whose debut film Heropanti releases on Friday, has been
approached for the part.
Source says, “His real life persona
will make it easier for him to essay the role of this deity.
Interestingly, Tiger is a devotee of Lord Shiva in real life. He is a
firm believer and takes immense inspiration from Shiva’s stories that he
has read. Also before before any auspicious event in his life, Tiger
ensures that he seeks Lord Shiva’s blessings.”
When contacted,
Tiger chose to remain tight lipped. He said, “There have been a lot of
projects that I have been approached for. But I can only talk about them
once they are finalised.”
