Arvind
Swami is all set to play the lead in director Selvaa's next film, which
is tentatively titled Vanangamudi. Although the rest of the cast and
crew are yet to be finalized, we hear the film will go on floors by
July-August. Interestingly, the actor will be playing the role of a
straightforward, no-nonsense cop.
Confirming the news, Arvind Swami says, "Selvaa and I have been having a comfortable equation ever since we worked together in Pudhayal. He narrated the one-liner of this film, and I really liked the way he has developed it into a script. We will be starting work on the film soon."
Giving out details, Selvaa says, "There are several people who we come across in our life, who are heroes in their own right. This film will be the biography of one such hero — a cop who takes his duty seriously. Arvind liked the knot, and I started working on the script a while ago. There will be nothing cinematic about this film. Arvind will be playing a cop who has five different characterizations."
Meanwhile, Arvind Swami has completed shooting for the Tamil-Hindi remake of the Marathi film Kaksparsh, and will start dubbing for it soon. Selvaa is also working on another film with Jeevan.
