Vijay Sethupathi’s new heroine

Meet Vijay Sethupathi’s new heroine Manisha Yadav. While she missed out on Vetri Maaran’s film with Dhanush, the Jannal Oram actress has now bagged a role in Idam Porul Yeval, and will be paired opposite one of Kollywood’s happening actors today. The film, produced by director Lingusamy’s production house, will be directed by Seenuramasamy.
    Says the National Award-winning director, “I auditioned a few girls for the role and when I saw Manisha’s audition, I immediately liked it. She has also been part of critically-acclaimed films like Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer and so, I roped her in for the role.”
    Manisha will play the role of a mountain farmer girl in the film while Vijay Sethupathi’s character is that of an outsider who comes to that place. The actors will begin shooting their portions in Kodaikanal from March. Meanwhile, the filmmaker is currently looking out for another actress to cast opposite the film’s other male lead, Vishnu Vishal.
