Hazel Keech visited the coastal town to catch the waves.

Actress Hazel Keech, most remembered for her performance in Sei Edhavathu Sei in the Ajith-starrer Billa, was in Puducherry recently. She is an avid surfer, and had visited the coastal town to catch the waves. 

    “I’ve only surfed thrice in my life — twice in Puducherry and once in Bali. The first time I surfed (in Puducherry) was in 2012 and it was such an amazing experience, waking up before dawn to catch the first waves. The surf school I was part of took us to a remote beach and we surfed all afternoon on these perfect waves. With three lessons, I have upgraded from a 9 ft board to an 8 ft board. I managed to maintain my balance on the board during my very first lesson,” Hazel beams. 

    She adds, “The best part about surfing is that the mind stops thinking, and you enjoy being in the moment. The sport is great for peace of mind and keeps a person fit.”
