Gautham Karthik is eagerly awaiting his second release, 'Ennamo Yedho', which is a remake of a Tollywood blockbuster, 'Ala Modalaindi'. Rakul Preet and Nikisha Patel co-star. “My dad saw the original and felt that I fitted the lead role of a happy-go-lucky guy to a T, and so I signed on the dotted line. It’s a romantic comedy, it’s about how I go in search of true love,” Gautham tells. The film is produced by Raviprasad Productions. Ask him about the on-screen chemistry he shares with both the heroines, he laughs, “You should watch the film to know about that! Anyways, it was a cute chemistry I shared with both.”Veteran Prabhu essays a negative character for the first time in 'Ennamo Eatho' which is directed by Ravi Thyagarajan. Gautham says that it was a new experience, shooting with Prabhu. “My dad and Prabhu sir have been friends for a long time. He taught me how to improvise and always tells me to be in a relaxed mood. He was full of energy and his happiness is such that he will light up the entire set,” says the son of ace actor Karthik.
Denying rumours that he and Vikram Prabhu will be coming together for yesteryear super hit, 'Agni Natchathiram' (where Karthik and Prabhu played the protagonists) he says, “'Agni Natchathiram' is a cult classic. You should not touch such movies in the name of a remake.” However, he is keen to work in Appa’s comic entertainer, 'Ullathai Alli Thaa', if remade.
Imman, who has given the musical score for the film, has roped in 'Vaikom Vijayalakshmi', the popular visually challenged singer from Kerala for a song, 'Pudhiya Ulagai' which has lyrics by Madhan Karky. “She is extremely talented,” he says. “Even regular singers would take time to sing at a stretch. But Vijayalakshmi finished a full pallavi in a single take,” says Imman, who has shifted to city-based genres of music from rural music.
