Suriya's Anjaan first look on Ajith's b'day!

The first look posters of Suriya starrer Anjaan, directed by Lingusamy will be out on May 1. Samantha plays the leading lady in the film pairing up with Suriya for the first time, while music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Lingusamy's Thirupathi Brothers, Anjaan is being touted as a mass entertainer and Suriya is playing dual roles.

Confirming the same, Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures has tweeted "Anjaan team worked very hard, non-stop & the first look posters will be revealed on May Day (1st May). You are going to see the Most Stunning & Stylish looking Suriya in them."

The film is expected to hit the screens on August 15 and it'll be the biggest Tamil film in Samantha's career so far.

Gautham Menon, who is basking in the glory of the National Award for the Best Tamil Film, Thanga Meengal, shared another interesting story. The director said that he received the news when he was shooting for Ajith-55, along with Ajith. He was reportedly quoted saying that the moment he conveyed the news to Ajith, the star got up and clapped. The whole unit joined him soon after.

The director is currently busy shooting for the Ajith- Anushka starrer even as he is soaking in the happiness of winning the 61st National Award for his production. He added that directors like Balaji Sakthivel and Lingusamy and many others soon called him up to congratulate him on Thanga Meengal.

The most-awaited motion capture 3D computer-animated period film will see Deepika playing a historical character, and also includes a classical performance by the actress.

Aishwarya Rai began her filmi innings in Kollywood, with Mani Ratnam's Iruvar. Then, she acted in Jeans and Kandukondain Kandukondain. Actor Ajith arrived at the poll booth with his parents and wife Shalini. The actor reached there at 6.30 am and patiently waited till 7.20 am to vote.

A source says, "Ajith was asked to directly enter the room to vote. But the actor chose to stand in queue. He waited for 40 minutes and then registered his vote. As he felt that it was his democratic right, he ensured that he did not publicise it. Large number of crowd was gathered outside the poll booth to get the glimpse of the star. The public respected Ajith's privacy and nobody disturbed him at the booth. He was also spotted talking to a person next to him in the queue."

Andrea is Jai’s heroine in Saravanan’s film

With Viswaroopam 2, Uttama Villain, Aranmanai and Taramani in her kitty, Andrea has now bagged a new project — she has been cast opposite Jai in his upcoming film directed by Saravanan of Engaeyum Eppothum fame. We hear that she is playing the role of an urban girl in the film.
Confirming the news, director Saravanan says, “Yes, Andrea is playing the female lead in the film. She will be playing an urban character in this city-based script. The audience will get to see a stylish Andrea in this flick. The film will have both romance and action.”
Earlier there was buzz that Anjali will team up with Jai for this project to re-create the Engaeyum Eppothum magic. But Saravanan says, “I consciously wanted to avoid the feel of my debut film, so Anjali was not even approached for this project. I wrote the script keeping only Andrea in mind.”

SAMANTHA TO PAIR UP WITH VIKRAM?

We hear that Samantha has been approached to play the lead in cinematographer-director Vijay Milton’s film with Vikram. While the actress is yet to sign on the dotted line, we are told she has verbally expressed her consent to star in the project.
    While Vijay Milton is hesitant to divulge details, he tells us, “I will be narrating the script to Samantha in the coming week.” A source close to the actress, however, tells us that she has agreed in principle to be part of the film.
    Interestingly, at the time of Goli Soda’s release, Samantha had tweeted about how she liked the film, and praised the performance of one of the actresses in the film.
    While Vikram has completed his film with Ai, and is getting back in shape for his other projects, Samantha is busy with Vijay’s Kaththi and Suriya’s Anjaan in Kollywood.

Karthi, Lingusamy team up again

Actor Karthi and director Lingusamy, who last worked together in the romantic thriller Paiyya, are all set to team up again. The film, titled Enni Yezhu Naal, is expected to go on floors by August this year. A source tells us, “Karthi and Lingusamy have shared a comfortable equation ever since they worked together in Paiyya, which proved to be an important film in their careers. They’ve been constantly in touch and have discussed scripts. They met a few days ago and finalized this subject.”
While Lingusamy remained unavailable for comment, his brother, and coproducer Subash Chandra Bose, confirms the news to us.
“Lingusamy had already narrated the story of Enni Yezhu Naal to Karthi, and both were inclined to work together on this subject. This one will be a romantic action entertainer, and we will begin shooting for this film from August. By then, Karthi would have completed his film with Ranjith, and Lingusamy would have wrapped up Anjaan with Suriya. While we are yet to finalize the rest of the cast and crew, we are in talks with Samantha to play the female lead.”

James Cameron has opened up about the time table of 'Avatar' sequels with respect to screenplays and writing.

The 'Titanic' director, in a Reddit AMA session, said that the second, third and fourth films will all go into production simultaneously and currently the movies were all in pre-production and that they should be done with all the three scripts within next six weeks, Deadline reported.

The 59-year-old film maker asserted that there was always pressure on him whether it was a new film or whether it was a sequel, in order to entertain and stun audience and the biggest stress he has now was cutting out things he loves to get the film down to a length that is affordable.
